ⅩⅠ.
After more than forty performances across Quebec, Sébastien Provencher presents a new, adapted version of Children of Chemistry in the window of the 2-22 building, a cultural venue located in Montréal’s Quartier des spectacles. Children of Chemistry draws inspiration from the masculine and feminine standards conveyed through the media and popular culture. With humor and sarcasm, the choreographer plays with gender codes to highlight the absurdities that lead us to conceive of our society in binary terms. Originally created for five performers, this window adaptation brings together twelve interpreters.
