Tricia Crivellaro (she/her/elle) is a researcher, designer, and educator based in Montreal and Toronto, Canada. She holds a Master’s degree in Fashion Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), where she currently teaches as a Lecturer in Fashion Design and Systems Thinking. She is also a research collaborator on the Craft and the Digital Turn research project with OCAD University.
With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, Tricia engages critically with fashion theory and practice while remaining actively involved in design and production. Tricia’s creative approach is informed by research that emphasizes connection to nature through sustainable and regenerative practices, honoring the life cycle of textiles and materials.
Her research projects and collaborations have been presented nationally in Montreal (Festival Mode & Design, Fashion Pop, Musée des beaux-arts, WIP) and Toronto (DesignTO), as well as internationally in Antwerp (Responsible Fashion Series), Edinburgh (Fringe Festival), and at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Society of Artistic Research). In recent years, she has expanded her practice through workshops that foster knowledge sharing and community engagement in both academic and public settings, including at the Parsons School of Design and the Textile Museum of Canada.
Tricia Crivellaro (elle/she/her) est chercheuse indépendante, designer et chargée de cours , établie entre Montréal et Toronto, au Canada. Elle détient une maîtrise en Fashion Studies de la Toronto Metropolitan University. Tricia enseigne en design de mode et “systems thinking” à TMU. Elle est également collaboratrice de recherche au projet Craft and the Digital Turn avec l’université OCAD.
Avec plus de dix ans d’expérience dans l’industrie de la mode, elle entretient un regard critique sur les pratiques du domaine tout en demeurant activement impliquée dans le design et la production. Son approche créative est nourrie par une recherche qui met l’accent sur la connexion à la nature à travers des pratiques durables et régénératives, honorant les cycles de vie des matériaux.
Ses projets et collaborations ont été présentés au niveau national à Montréal (Festival Mode & Design, Fashion Pop, Musée des beaux-arts, WIP) et à Toronto (DesignTO), ainsi qu’à l’international à Anvers (Responsible Fashion Series), Édimbourg (Fringe Festival) et à la Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Society of Artistic Research). Ces dernières années, elle a élargi sa pratique par des ateliers favorisant le partage de connaissances et l’engagement communautaire dans des contextes académiques et publics, notamment à la Parsons School of Design et au Musée du textile du Canada.
